Antioxidant Vitamins - Antioxidants are substances that act as shields or barriers to prevent invading free radicals from doing harm to cells. These invading free radicals are part of our environment. That puff of cigarette smoke, the chemical preservatives in our foods, water, or anything that is foreign to the body can, potentially, become a free radical. When free radicals are allowed to uncontrollably form, the following things can occur:
1. Should the free radical attack a cell membrane, allergies can occur.
2. Should the molecule attack the fat globule that nourishes the cell, the cell dies. This is associated with aging and rheumatoid arthritis.
3. Should the free radical attack the nucleus of the cell, which has the reproductive map of the cell (DNA) cancer can develop.

Balanced Omega 6 & 3 Fatty Acids – Omega 6 & 3 polyunsaturated fatty acids are vitally important for the maintenance of skin and coat condition, reproductive functions, and tissue repair. Some of the known health benefits from consuming these fatty acids are a reduced risk of cancers, heart diseases, rheumatoid arthritis, and a host of others.

Glucosamine - Glucosamine is a very promising treatment for Arthritis and hip dysplasia in pets and is backed by numerous double-blind, placebo-controlled studies. In these studies, glucosamine has been shown to rehabilitate cartilage and reduce the progression of arthritis, significantly lessen pain from arthritis, and increase mobility in dogs and cats. Dogs can naturally produce glucosamine in the body, but as they age, this natural production decreases. Therefore, supplementation becomes a must for the maintenance of a dog’s joint cartilage.

Chondroitin - Chondroitin sulfate is a larger molecule also found in cartilage. Much like glucosamine, chondroitin has been shown to work as an anti-inflammatory in the joints and reduces pain. Some laboratory studies suggest that chondroitin sulfate may slow cartilage breakdown and even spur cartilage growth.

Digestive Enzymes – As pets age, they begin to lose enzymes that are required to successfully and easily digest food. Inadequate enzymes can lead to indigestion, intestinal and gastric discomfort, heartburn, irregularity, gas, and bloating.

Natural Psyllium – Psyllium comes from the husk of psyllium seeds. These seeds are considered to be over 99% soluble fibre. Dietary fibre "bulks up" waste and moves it through the colon more rapidly, preventing constipation, and possibly even prevent colon cancer.
